Default stabilizer for my hunting bow (assassin)

so, i got my hunting bow, bowtech assassin, and i pulled off all the accessories that it came on it, and replaced them. i have not come up with a good stabilizer yet. i have an 11.5" octane, but its too long for that bow, or so i feel anyways. any of you have an idea of what might work better?? maybe just an s-coil or something?? it is going to be just a hunting bow.. I put my HHA XL5510 sight and NAP apache rest on it.

I think an s-coil would be a good stablizer for that bow.

8.5 B-stinger is what I would suggest. I feel they are the best. But you might need to try differnt ones for yourself.

Yep,
I prefer 12"' but the 8.5" works well on my top heavy D350.

I'm using a 8" Smooth Stability Hunter. Draw bow, aim and shoot the pins don't move.

I really like the Doinker Elites. I have a 10 inch and a short 6 inch.
The new Supreme and Gems are very nice...

Personally I'd go to an archery shop and try all they have and make my own decision. Check them out for noise reduction and balance. I've never found anything less than about 10" to be of much use for being a true stabilizer.

The real question is do you want something that is going to suck up a little bit of noise only....or something that will actually do what a stabilizer is actually made to do and if you need to suck up a little noise still add something to it to make your bow a little more silent?

I know which I would go with.

The only real sound heard from my bow this year was the sound of the TT hitting the riser and the string hitting the stop.....but that was the best aiming and shooting hunting setup I have ever had. I'll be darned if I would trade a B-Stinger for a few decibels.

i personally think that the posten woodsman series of stabs is a really good choice. i have the 8" posten woodsman on my x force and it does great.

I agree. I don't find 10-12" of stab to be a problem for hunting.

i let customers take a few stabilizers out to the range and try them . they all end up having a different idea of what they like and what feels better to them . the only way to find what you like or whats different from one to another is by shooting them .but i do sell a lot of s-coils

I have always been found of the simms enhancer with a modular attached or two. Really has always been a favorite of mine. Im like you and dont care for the long ones for hunting.

I've never had a problem with 10''-12'' stabs on my hunting rigs. I also hunt in tree stands most but I also use blinds.
