Some how that just doesn't seem right.
Lets get 5 guys in a small boat and shoot a 2 ton hippo with a stick.
He got all of about 3 inches of penetration on the thing, besides the nose shot at the end.
What were they thinking.

I can't see the video on this computer....but by the description given by Gator....it sounds like it is the episode from Dangerous Game. I saw that one a while ago when it aired on TV. That was one wild hunt....I don't think I would have stayed in the boat

Hippos
Just like any game. You got to control the herd.
In Africa like Hornet said ever thing gets used! We certianly cant say that here.
There not wastefull.
Someone explain the difference in killing a Hippo and deer with a bow?
Hippos kill more humans in Africa than other species. I would not want to be in that boat if it tipped over.
I think its around $60,000 for a hippo.

I got no problem with hunting Hippo's, tear em up. But use the right tool for the job.
But common sense tells you not to take a knife to a gun fight, and don't use a bow to kill a hippo that has armor plating, last deer I shot had no armor. Even with a gun they shoot em between the eye's instead of the shoulder for this reason.
All he did was piss him off intil he charged and they had to shoot him with a gun. Should of used the gun in the first place.

They better check their shorts after that. Very dangerous. As DB stated more people are killed by hippos than all other species.

I have no desire to shoot a hippo, giraffe, zebra, or elephant. I also don't like to watch video of these animals being hunted. I'm sure I will get beat up over this statement but that the way I feel. Beat away.

I am with you for the most part....and my friends look at me like I'm crazy. Sure there are a couple animals I would like to hunt over there. But I truly have no desire to go over there just to hunt.

I didn't say I wouldn't love Africa or it wouldn't be an adventure.....I said I don't have a desire to go over there to hunt the animals....most of them anyway. There are a few that would get me going.
That's kind of just like how I have no desire to hunt animals here. For example antelope....they don't do it for me.

I have zero desire to hunt in Africa... or anywhere I can't bring the meat home to eat.. seems a waste to go and just kill something for the head...

And what's with the shot skimming across the water? @:59
Maybe the poop in his shorts affected his aim.
