my arrow lenght
just got GT expedition 7595 shaft and measure arrow and cut and my arrow lenght is 28 5/8" long, my bow set at 30" DL and 70#, with 100 gr head total about 390 gr,
now i'm take hard decide on broadhead but i'm thinking about a good budget one like NAP shockwave,
do u think i got a stiffer arrow as it 28 5/8" and at 70 lb shoud be good speed and hit hard with head ?
the arrow i build i use vanetec 2 " HP, and a standard GT nock and a acculite insert i havent bought a scale yet.but do u guess the weight arrow and the KE ? well my bow has IBO at 314 fps but i think i might get about 280 fps ?

i think your combo will be fine, if anything you dont needs 70 lbs, crank it down a lil bit to the low 60s.

with that heavy of arrow u will have it set real good for hunting because a 390gr arrow at 280 fps should have pretty good KE

According to backcountry's gizmo, you're getting more than you think, if I read your specs right, try it.

Even if you've got 25 grn on the string, I get 294.5 and 75 KE. The chart on backcountry says Dangerous/Tough Game (Cape Buffalo, Grizzly, etc.) - 65 ft-lbs and above. Think it'll work?

i'm foucs on trying to get good speed, hard hit use nap shockwave, i did at link backcountry and i got about 296 fps with 76 KE but i havent doing a real chorno at pro shop yet.
the reason i'm doing the budget gear like bow, arrow, head and etc.. it'll able to kill any of small/big game than buy a high end price bow, arrow and head..
budget bow will do the job and sweep the top speed bow with forgiving shooting.

I hear ya there, all of the equipment listed below was purchased used, with the exception of one of the HHA's and the QT 1000. And they're barn burrners! the 63# Slayer shoots a 447 grn arrow at 292 fps and hits with 84.9 KE. Since the bow can takke down anything walking north america and half of Africa, I'll be needing them saved bucks!

that fast martin bow u got, well i got my unfired bare bow from AT last nov called quest qs33 and it's still NEW so i bought budget gear to make my bow look bad boy, and bought a budget arrow and doing my build arrow .
they're ready to go out and shoot, my point is stick with budget bow no matter what brand like used or new either with over 310 fps ibo and above
in other site a guy who review the quest qs33 and he's shoot 373 gr and get 292 fps with this bow so i would like to see a real speed what i got on chronography with gold tip expedition at 28 5/8" long at my set DL 30" and 70# to see how fast i get ..

Goldtip website also has a KE calculator. according to them my 30" pro hunter (400 grains total) heading downrange at 329 fps is making approx. 96.16 ft-lbs. SHOULD be enough i hope!! but i just checked and backcountry said my ke is only 84 ft-lbs. oh well.

no one made a prefect on KE or chronography and anythings but i'll prefer to shoot a chronogrpahy to find out what my speed then make calucator for my KE then my KE will be answer
if u are corcern about speed or slow low ke then go join woman and learn how woman who shoot a low poundage and see how much ke do the ladies get on her bow,
archer choice u know hot lady name vicki who shoot a 305 fps bow and i would say she might get 260 fps and complete pass thur a black bear, deer, and full arrow stuck in bull moose with her sponsor of NAP head.
i would say make no difference,
all u can do is get good tuned on bow and arrow tuned then you'll be a BULLETPROOFER

You guys have never seen Shemane Nuggent in Africa? Shoots a 40# martin, and takes out plains game. It all arrow placement, holes in lungs, put 'em down.

it also says "(Cape Buffalo, Grizzly, etc.) - 66 ft-lbs and above".
So maybe you have to pass on the rhino, hippo, elephant, and any dinosaurs we've got wandering arround.
