Sighting In

HI I AM NEW TO THE WEB PAGE AND JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHAT YOU THROUGHT ABOUT SIGHTING IN A BOW AT 25-35-45-55 YARD PINS INSTEAD OF 20-30-40-50 YARD PINS I HAD READ SOME WHERE THAT A GUYS DOES THIS BECAUSE IT WILL SHOOT A LITTLE HIGH AT 20 YARDS AND A LITTLE LOW AT 30 YARDS BUT STILL BE IN THE KILL ZONE. I JUST PUT NEW STRINGS AND CABLES ON MY BOW

Pin setting is personal, whatever blows your hair back. I set mine at 25-35-45-50-60.

Course, your speed will ultimately determine your pin settings.

i have my single pin set for 20 30 40 45 50 55 60 up to 85

most of my shots are under 25 yards so I set my 3 pin sight up for 25,35, 45
and this also seems to do well for me in the 3D's.

Yeah! Me too. Except mine is marked 20, 25, 30 , 35, 40 , 45, 50 , 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85.

You're one of the FEW others I know who does this....

I personally usually only have 4 pins, and I generally base mine on how fast my bow shoots, but MOST of my set-ups are 270-290fps, and it seems that I've found 24-32-40-48 is about perfect for me....

How many pins for 3d (hunter class) are you allowed...I thought 5?

I wanted to try 24, 31, 38, 45, 52 this year

5 pin set @ 20,30,40,50,60 always worked befor
HHA Slider @ 20 - used to be 80+ but just switched to a BT release and made use of the very bottom on slider I expect that 20 to 80 to grow into the 90ies now Have no idea what My Toxonic's will get..

thanks for the help i think i will do 25-35-45-55-65 and see how it will work this year
