the official rules thread....
Rule #1. Dredly will never win
Rule #2. Chris has to shoot lefthanded and w/a blindfold
o.k. know for the real rules......
1. there will be NO majic pencils......if you are found to be in violation of this rule it will mean a trip to the blank bail time out range......for two weeks....
2. from now until the weather gets nice for everyone......we will shoot these rounds indoors unless you choose to shoot outside.....
3. to keep it easy for the first few rounds and to get the bugs worked out, we will shoot at as close to 20yds as possible......if your range is 17 yds, were not going to be nitpicky.....
4. there will be 1 week to get your score in from the time we say go....
5. the first few weeks will be shot at nfaa 5 spot targets.......
6. the scorring will be as follows....10...8...5....4 (THIS WILL HELP WHEN AND IF WE START, DOING A 3D ROUND).....
a pic will follow to clear up the scorring questions......
any of these you dont like let me know before we begin and we can change it up to try and make most happy
also if i forgot anything let me know.....

How about you must use the same bow throughout no indoor wussy bows then up to a 3D rig for outdoors. Choose your weapon and stick with it.

Thats fine but whichever bow you start with you must use throughout. Either the SB or ICON.

that being said I'd rather shoot 30 as well. I don't have the time to shoot 60 most weeks

I already shoot outside one time a week or shoot a veg 45 round it its nasty out, because its 3 arrows at a time. and a 3d leuge on thursday, dont want to shoot and extra 60 arrows, im still nursing a elbow injury. and i shoot bowhunter class, and wont compeat with a guy with 50lbs, a scope and 26XX arrows on spots at 20 yards, now if it was 3d only, then i wouldnt have a problem mixing the class, but not with spots.

I think the less rules the better and the less restrictions the better.
Shoot with the equipment you want, no restrictions. As long as your a guy you can shoot
5 spot target, 6 arrows at each spot
Scoring is in accordance with Bowmans pic (which appears to have never appeared)
yardage - 20 (or as close as you can get)
Basically the exact same as if you and your buddy went shooting... there is no prize on the line here so its all just for fun.

I saw bowmans scoring, but I've NEVER shot a "round" and never seen the scoring. The center is the 10 ring, and I assume you have to hit the X to get an X but it's not worth anything but bragging rights. Now am I right in that the arrow touching the border of the target counts as the inner pts value?

an inside out "X" (not touching any part of the line)----10
cutting the "X" line---8
Normal 5----5
Normal 4----4

So:
X = 10
Center Ring = 8
Second ring = 5
3rd and 4th ring = 4

Sounds simple enough to me. But then again I may be confused.
