Future 10 point that almost wasnt...
Was mowing a feild and almost ran this little guy over...front tire of the Bad Boy hit him...had i not seen him the 60" deck would have made a real mess...

Good job stopping in time. I've mowed my share of small animals, but a deer would really bug me. I cut the foot off of one of my wife's favorite barn cats with a trailer type sickle bar, boy that one cost me $$ at the vets. Nice cat, I felt awful, but it did well on 3 legs for years after.

That would of sucked for sure. I wonder how many of them get chopped up every year. I've mowed over my share of baby rabbits but never a fawn.

Most of the time, hay feilds dont get mowed this early around here, but this is a horse pasture on a farm that I am trying to get back under control. So normally they wouldnt be this size when most mowing is going on, and i am sure the mother felt it was safe here as it has not been mowed in 5 or so years...

My Dad unfortunatly gets 2-3 a year with the discbine. He tries to watch out for them and does miss a few but none the less it happens alot come hay season.
