Default Where are these illegal?

Not sure I see any advantage in the Leupold Vendett bow-mounted rangefinder and heard they aren't legal in some states. Is that true? Where? I'll bet my state (CA) is one of em.

We are not allowed electronic devises. If it uses a battery it's a no-no.

It has a visible laser, which would make it illegal in Wisconsin

No electronic devise may be attached to your bow in Oregon, and no mechanical broadheads either.

After harrassing the Mfr...I got a response.

The Leupold Vendetta is a legal hunting device in over half of the United States and for more than 2/3rd of America’s 3.5 million bowhunters. The following states’ regulations permit the use of the Vendetta product for hunting.

The Vendetta product is legal for recreational archery in all states. As with any technology based hunting product, check local regulations to confirm the legality of the Vendetta product in states not listed.

Surprized to see Missouri on that list. If it has a visable laser you wouldn't be able to use it. Can't use anything that projects a light on the animal. Now if its optional to use the laser then there might be a grey area( or loop hole) there.
