dog days of summer
What's everyone doing besides working and occasionally shooting?
My son and his fiance planted a big garden, I'm the head weeder.
I helped a waterfowl hunting bud rototill for planting rice/millet/buckwheat.
Haying the inlaws place, but we did see a few deer and yotes so far so that is'nt so bad. Trapped several possums, a couple of skunks and ground grizzleys out of the garden area. No fun stuff yet. Come-on Oct.

To hot to do all that stuff right now.........I just drink beer and talk about all the stuff I want to get done.
Although the old lady reminded me last weekend, as she points toward the unsplit wood pile, that it'll be time to fire up the wood stove in another 2 months.

With this little bit of rain, I may actually have to cut grass for the first time in a month.
