Did I overpay for this bow?
I just recently purchase my my first bow for $250, its a 2000 Mathews Ultramax.
The specs on it and reviews on it I like, IBO-323 yadayada. Its in great shape and came with a mathews 6 arrow quiver, a toxonics 1 pin sight, limbsaver buttons, and a NAP shockwace supressor and stock Mathews drop away(oldschool). I havent got to shoot it or even tune it up. Im learning and have a few friends who will guide me but anyone got any experience with this bow? |

You got a bow, sight, rest, and stabalizer for 250? Not bad. Go learn about the bow and shoot. If that bow alone is in good shape, it's worth that. Go shoot.

The Ultra-Max is a great bow... can be a tad on the "loud" side(grained out). Don't worry about trying to achieve it's IBO rating, shoot as heavy an arrow as it likes.

Sounds like a good deal
They are great shooting bows, though a heavier arrow seems to be a good idea to quieten the bow.
