Your not an oddball.....I don't like multi pin sights anymore either. I have one on my hunting bow right now...but only because I messed up the knob on my CBE block and haven't fixed it yet.
I would sell BOTH....not a fan of HHA.....and get a better single pin/slider sight. Your a fan of the dial....probably for when you need to adjust it in the field. But in all honesty.....how many times deer hunting are you really going to need to adjust it? Probably once in a blue moon at most. If your bow is shooting over 270fps set the thing on 25yds and your good to go. You won't need to move it until you get to a shot in the 40 yd range. Just hold a little higher.
As for a solid sight.....I would pick up a CBE Tek Target and put a CR housing on it with an up pin. That's going to run you $255 if you buy everything brand new. Much more solid then what you have and it will not be noisy.
