Do you shoot with a group like a 3d course? Have one member keep all score cards and mark them while the rest view the arrows in the target.
Or, hand him a calculater and suggest he use it, as you noticed he is having trouble with basic math.

Westy ole boy, it's been going on here a long time, at least in 3D competition.
That's why I left the IBO a long time ago, I got tired of getting beat by guys with magic pencils. And yes, the last one I caught did have to limp off the course.

Yerr Red we do it the same as our 3D shoots, the problem here is he was the one holding the score cards!!!If i ever got to shoot with this guy again I'm going to be using the magic pencil and score, him down that is.He was kicked out of his last club and now i'm starting to understand why????????Obviously it a problem where ever you go in the great big wide world!!!!Thanks Guy's I thought it just might of been me.

A little known fact !
Westy , just fill your scorecard out before you shoot !
This happens at 3D shoots and thus I never give it a thought , cause I am not shooting competitively anymore !
I've already burned all my 2nd , 3rd , 4th and last place tropheys ( and that's just in the cubs class ) !
NOW YOU KNOW AND YOU ARE !

we were in Erie Pennsylvania for an IBO shoot and there were 2 or 3 groups we had seen on the course that were all from the same team. hell they all had shooter shirts on that were the same, and the IBO people still sent them out together, how do you think they shot that day pretty darn good i'd say. that is why i don't get too caught up in it i just shoot for fun. and i am not good enough right now to place so it really doesn't affect me directly. i still don't think it is right

People will always cheat. -- I've seen guys cheat to win a $3 trophy.
I shoot to have fun and compete against myself (and I keep loosing).

I was shooting outdoor 3D with a guy I didn't like one time and moved his fixed pins when he had his bow hanging on a rack and retrieving arrows. On his next shot, he fired high and clipped a brach about 15 feet above the target, the branch fell on him and killed him.

Alittle known fact !
Few folks know that I pray while doing archery , mostly when in my treestand hoping for the big mega doe to come my way , but I did cheat once in 3D when I couldn't fine my arrow and told everyone that the foam critter ate IT AND IT WAS A 10 !
I knew that I had to ask GOD for forgivenness as I headed to hand in my score with that 10 points on it , as I looked up after spending a few minutes asking for forgivenness , I looked up and GOD gave me this answer !

This is why I never get excited about these 3D shoots at times , always someone who wants it ( to be the winner ) too much !

A little known fact !
I shot at 3Ds so someone can claim they beat X amount of people as the amount spent is more to help the sponsorring club and just better my judging of distanting those targets !
When I get serious , I'll shoot paper , no doubt 300s as that would require 60 good shots to make the 300 and excellant to add any Xs !
Now you know and you are !
