Talking Price of a new bare bow !

What is your honest opinion on what you would pay for a new bare bow ?

I'm thinking of $600 = $800 tops , this is short of the top of the line bows that are $850 = $1400 range .

No desire for a new one of any kind right now but likely somewhere around $500

$1200-1300 or so...target only.

Hunting bows cheaper.... But since this a target forum I won't get into that.

Man I was really interested in OK Archery untill the price. Would love a parallel limbed X-cable twin cam bow.
I'm gonna need some serious convincing to ever buy a new bow again. My used bows (short money) have shot as good as the couple of new ones that I did buy. New is fun and cool and a little faster, but not more accurate in my experience. I don't see 1 (one) bow that dominates all venues, untill one does, I keep on the cheaper plan.

Red your all so right here yet again, the only thing about new is the warrenty!!! for what it's worth other than that i'd have to agree with you just sold a few 2011 bows and recived about 1\2 price infact i kept one because know one would give me fair price for it!!!!

I ve paid up to 1300 for a target bow. Now before you get all huffy and puffy about "I would never pay that much, it's a rip off..bla bla blabla BLA"

I shoot this bow all the time, sometimes twice a day. Break the cost down and it comes up cheaper than bowling, fishing, golf, heck I would almost bet it would cost more to play tiddly winks everyday.

For me, hunting bows are a different story. I only use one acouple months a year so I see no sense in buying new or trading up every year or two. I think I purchased my hunting bow 5 years ago and will probably be using the same one 5 years from now. A 300 dollar bow will kill a deer just as well as a 1000 dollar bow.

I guess that if I could shoot at work , while I'm not on the company's computer that I'd spent that much !

I'm just jealous !

I like shooting my bows !

Now you know and you are , as I own alot of those $300 bows , all use mostly !

I would have no problem buying a target bow for $1000ish, for Hunting I would look to drop $800-900.
