Westy did you shoot that critter with a bow this year?
Congrats to those of you who have connected. My season continues but no shots yet. I've seen a couple. Been in 6 different stands trying not to wear out my welcome at any 1 spot. Plenty of deer around, I'm just not doing something right this season. My nephew got one with me only 70 yards away. It was at least fun listening to it happen, LOL.

So, my state's archery only season ended today. I saw 3. Spent more time in a tree this year than since my oldest was born. Now I'm competing with SGs and MLs through the end of the year. I'd like to just FF to spring at this point. Why drag out the next 4 months of cold misery. I'm doomed to accept a road kill.

Time to look for new houselots to hunt I guess. The land most of my stands are on follow 2 small rivers was sold to a guy who is a ravenous duck hunter. He spent all of bow season running around chasing ducks. Did'nt do my spots any favors. I should'nt complain, he's cool with me bow hunting there, just not sure it's worth putting in the time in those spots anymore. At least ducks are closed for the 2 week SG season. I might have a slim chance.

Nothing wrong with 3 legged deer, or cripples either. Way harder to hit with their goofy gaits. About 1/2 the deer I've killed have been smashed by something at some point. Amazing what they can live through. Week 1 of SG in the books, I'm gonna starve this winter. LOL

The fact that he got one with a Jennings has to be worth something; no doubt about it!
