Good morning one and all. Yesterday I was hitting center at 100 yards with my new Marlin .308. Today I nned some bengay for my left arm.

You get a new turn bolt Marlin ?

My 243 turn bolt is a Marlin !

Yes the wife got me a 243 two years ago and a 308 this year. Bless her heart she doesn’t know that the only difference is the caliber of the two but what the heck I now have two.

I got a coyote with the 243 at about 300 yards last year with open sites. The 308 came with a 3X12 scope. Dummy me kept following the shot while trying to tune the scope, it is not a bow Mike. After a couple boxes of shells I am now hitting a 2 inch circle at 100 yards.

WOW , jw that's a long shot with a high power rifle to shoot a yote at 300 yards using open sights. !

I need to sight my guns in someday .

More luck than skill. It wasn't a kill shot and I did track him till he went into the creek at which point I lost his trail.

Next day about a mile away I saw one lying on the side of the road but didn't get out to look at it.
