Them southern states have got to quit using some good-looking lady who really never had a solid truthful education , as Miss Iowa no doubt was winning the spellingbee contest at the same time !

I still like Miss South Carolina !

Today was the day that my treestand had to come down , as it was on public ground in a county park and you have one week past hunting season , to get them down , here in The Tall Corn State !

Unlike some in my archery club , who choose to leave their stands out there and get them later , like they have done in the past , only to find them gone !

Beings that " yours truly " couldn't be armed with my famous world renown trusty Jennings Buckmaster bow for protection against a possible attack by an greater Iowan mountain lion , I took my spaded female Jack Russell dog as a deterence against such a happenning and as an early warning device ! I figured that I'd turn her loose , as she would make a nice snack for such a large feline and I could possibly make a run to my nearby truck and thus safety , while taking my stand down !

Here is a few photos of my beloved " Casey " , as I named her after my favorite fueling station !

The mountain lion was a no-show today , as my dog's nickname is " Killer " !

Now you know and you are !
