Default Who shot they're bow today?

Had an electrician swing by today to look at a small job here and at my MIL's, installing a generator transfer switch at both. I hopped in his Jeep to go to the MIL's and there was a recurve in the back seat. Naturally it struck up a conversation about bows and led to he and I BSing about hunting and so-on. What can I say, It was a 50# Ben Pearson Cougar. My first bow was a 42# Cougar, brought back a lot of memories.
Spent the rest of the day shooting and playing with about every bow I have. Got nothing else accomplished. Have you shot your bow(s) today? My ADD got the best of me, LOL.

Mines in the truck. Took "Red" (mine, not you) to her first 3D shoot last weekend. Had a great time. She said she cant wait till the next one. Did very well with only 1 goose egg and 2-5's on 30 targets.

Wheely all the rule reminding is well worth it. I went through a phase where I was the primary kid rearer with no adult friends to go do fun stuff with. Not that I didn't have friends, but not in my situation. My wife's job was paying way better than what I was doing. So it was simply a matter of economics. Let me just say, the relationship you develop with your kids now is priceless. It will pay dividends later.
That said, I understand. Your situation will eventually change too. Get your bow out and shoot a couple arrows.

Dang Red, I ve heard the rumors. Now I know they must be true.
You're a wise man

I haven't shot YET today, yesterday I sharpened the broadheads and put some arrow together for Oct 1st opener. If the rain stops I'll be out there after work.

Bunny, you going to get her hunting and up in a tree this year? I never could get my DW in a tree stand.

Everyday I try to shoot, some days it may only be three arrows but on average I try to get 25 arrows shot off.

Hawkins that is what I want to get back too. At least a few shots a day. When I was doing that everything was automatic. Good for you.

Funny how things can revolve. I started with a recurve some 40 years ago, then started shooting compounds. Recently got another recurve and have put about 4000 shots through this thing in about 5 weeks. Just so much fun again. And to answer the original question, I shoot one or more of my 4 bows almost daily, year round.

Monday shot 100+ arrows... got a new release I am trying out. Then after I got done with the new release switched back to my trusty STAN and shot a 300 round. 293 with 32-X not bad for the first round of the year... I cannot wait for hunting season 10 DAYS!!!!

Not bad Mn. My shoulders would have caved in. How fast we lose it. My recurves generally see as much action as my compounds. They, if nothing else, are good strength builders, and add some fun and frustration. For those who shoot them well enough to hunt with them my hat is off to you. I still got around 30 days till bow season.

Default We did !

My 7 year old and I each shot ours.My 9 year old is waiting for me to install the accessories on his bow.

I mention this because the boys just finished being grounded from shooting for awhile after the recurring problem of disrespectful attitudes.I first took away their XBOX video game, but that only worked for a few days,so I took away their bows and ,man what a change! My oldest didn't think I would follow through with my threat to sell his left hand Nuclear Ice,but I did!I bought another used one though, and it'll be ready soon.

The best thing to come of all this;they still haven't asked for the XBOX back!

Had an Officers meeting the yesterday at the club... Got voted to be the VP of the club. But before the meeting I shot about 50 arrows. Not what I hoped but hope was not lost!

Get them out of the house. Man if it wasn't a typhoon or blizzard, mom chased us out. I think it did us good. A kid has to learn to create. They aren't going to do that on the couch with a game controller. Get them out and run them ragged.
PS I did not shoot my bow today, sorry.
