Default New place to hunt

got the word this afternoon. on a commercial, public active (you-pick) farm of 100 acres. Going down the list of what to be aware of and clear with the farm owners. They do late picking of pumpkins/apples, already started that, but they are a busy place. I need to stay out of the public eye. Not any woods, but just a tree-line paralleling a river north to south, predominate winds are not in my favor. But I have new turf! have to go do some interviews and groundwork. They get some damage control permits every year. hoping to relieve them of that burden. Oct 21 start here.

Tree line/river bed - definitely worth a try.

My wife has been my contact there. she rides her horse with one of the owners. (not fancy show horse stuff, just backyard companion, money wasting hay-burners LOL) Anyway, I learned tonight from wifey that there are a couple family members that bow hunt there, or try too. The younger generation of that family. They've not had any success in the past with bows. I have to step up and get a plan in place. don't want to step on anyone's toes. Might be a chance to help out a newbie and secure a spot to hunt for the future. I'm in for this season, they've given me the go-ahead. now to touch bases with the others who want to hunt. I'm only planning on part time there, until bow ends, then I'm out. They have a shot-gun crew already.

Probably not going there until after pumpkin/hayride time. Whenever that ends. can't see myself in a tree until the farm is done with public access.

Pretty much all that is left, they are constantly plowing/planting about every other acre.
