Jerk of a Neighbor
So I'm outside with my buddy and my neighbor behind me (who I've never met) pulls his tractor into my back yard and yells something at me, I turn around and put my dogs inside to go see what he wants...
the guy is a jerk, I ask him what I can help him with and he informs me quite rudely that a brush pile that I made is partially on his property (about 1 foot worth of it)
He has a row of large pine trees which I thought were right on the property line, apparently they are about a foot off the line but grow more on my side then his.
So instead of being a nice guy and just kindly informing me of this he comes over with an attitude and demands I move the pile. I try to be nice but he just wants to be a jerk about it... keep in mind this is the first time I ever met this guy.
so now I have some options....
1. Leave it there and if he comes over again tell him to go fly a kite
2. move it to somewhere else and be done with it. There really isn't anywhere else I can put it but I can find somewhere.
3. Move the pile out longways so that its not on his line anymore and looks even worse from his yard (I still won't be able to see it) and I'll be fully in compliance with the property line.
4. Advise him that HIS trees are growing over MY property line and advise him to get them cut back to be even with the line. Seeing as how I cannot determine where my line is because it is covering my line.
I hate hard decisions...

yeah I already thought about burning it but that would be to quick. if I spread it out it will be much more fun and ruin his view of my garden (I guess thats what he is looking at?
I'll take pictures tonight when I get home.

Spread it all out and let it sit for awhile. I would also inform him that the next time he decides to pull his tractor up in your yard it will leave with flats and followed shortly with a bill for damage to the sod

I took care of it... the pile is now twice as high as it was before and about 2 feet deep.
And the next time he pulls his tractor into my yard we are going to discuss what he is going to do with the pine trees which are growing over my property. I think professional tree cutters will be coming out... oh and they won't be stepping foot on my property.
I doubt he'll be back. I have pictures I just have to upload them

Good news is I spoke with the neighbor beside me a bit when trying to find my one corner property stake. Real good guy who has lived there for over 8 years and never met the guy behind us...
the ol rat can go fly a kite. I don't need jerks like that as friends...
plus the new HUGE pile looks pretty nice. I'm looking forward to adding lots of pine branches to it so he has a lovely view of the pile of weeds and sticks that now line my garden.
All it would have taken was him to ask me nicely but he'd rather be a jerk... ehh well some people just never learn.

btw - there is no way I would go to this guy for help... my parents live a mile 1/2 away and I would much sooner go to the other neighbors for help then that guy so I'm not worried at all.

Be nice, it will make him madder or make a friend. At my last job, there was a girl that hated me A LOT. As long as I was mean back, I think she enjoyed it cuz she knew she was making me mad. One day I decided I didn't care anymore and started smiling at her everytime I saw her and even said HI a couple times. She hated it so much that she wasn't gettin to me anymore, she actually threw a box at me (and missed). I say make him a plate of untainted cookies or something

Or I call the cops on him every time he has a pool party (his pool is about 25 yards off my property line, if that)
Nothing says neighborly love like the police knocking on your door

What if you were to, say....put up a 3d target on your property lined up with said pool, and accidently missed while shooting your broadheads....works best when no one is in said pool, however...
Im thinking a rocket sledgehammer 100 gr hole in the side of his pool would put an end to his pool parties...J/K
maybe even do a broadhead test and give bring us the results...with pics of course!

Just met my other neighbor today, he walked down into my yard, I asked if I could help him he said just showing his brother the property, saw my target and asked nicely if I'd watch shooting because he has kids, asked if I had any, I said I did, he said have a good one, so did I.
The bag targets are being moved before I shoot again, so I'm shooting in a different direction... was it that hard to be a nice neighbor? NO and are there any hard feelings? nope.
the other guy is just a jerk and that pile is only going to get bigger!
