Default Arrow's & dipping?

I am a beginner at this process so ill ask it here!
On carbon arrows ive never had them crested, dipped or wrapped.
I want to try it myself!
1o wraps after shooting awhile come apart?
2o your vane's or feather's bond the same to the wrap material or on a arrow that has been dipped?
3o you have to use a different glue on the fletching when using wrap's or after an arrow has been dipped?
4:which is cheaper?
Thank's trying to deside!

I have used and do you wraps....they work great....

the only problem is if you screw up the fletching job you have to start completley over.....

I was really liking that video I found and posted....w/the spray paint.....

which ever you choose, take your time and enjoy the experience......

I have never done carbon shafts yet. When I did my aluminum shafts way back when I used krylon spry paint worked great for me had a problem once when one feather slip When I was fletching but that was only cause the paint hadnít dried all the way
I plan trying it with carbons at the end of June when my new bow comes in.
I know u probably are going to do this anyways but use masking tape to make your own designs

I used the Krylon paint made for plastics...and it sticks really well! I painted arrows that were already fletched, so I had to mask off my vanes. I did a few and then had some fletched. No problems sticking.

As for the wraps-I've not had a problem with anything. I'm very rough on my arrows. They get a bit torn up (um, going through branches, straw, dirt, etc). After a while, rip them off, redo. No big deal. I guess I go through wraps like I go through men....hehe could not resist that comment!!! (just jokin')

If you spray paint, let your arrows dry for 24-48 hours before shooting...it has to "cure" first. If you paint the entire arrow it will get messed up closer to the tip (duh, that part goes through the target). One can of paint will last 4-ever so get a color you like and get them on sale (but they are cheap so you can get a few). I got mine with my "free" hardware store benefits card.

Since this is still going, and I'm fletching arrows at 4AM, I gotta weigh in. I use wraps, and I just put them in front of the fletching. I use mini-blazers for target, and blazers for hunting. The wraps are about 2 1/2 inches from the back of the arrow, but so what? I can replace my vanes without wasting a $1 wrap every time I replace my vanes. Duh. It may not look as "Pretty", but I don't care. i'm not into pretty colors on my bow, string, limbs, arrows, ect, like some people seem to be. i just want to shoot straight. A pretty bow and arrow don't go any straighter. Sorry to tell you that. Try my solution, and get some Blazers. You'll love them.

I thought the main reason for the wraps was so the vanes had something to adhere to other than a bare shaft???

its all for looks,

I've used my share of wraps and I've had the same issue with ALL of them... once you put them on they are on and you have to strip them all to replace one fletching.

Also watch the glue, I ran into LOTS of issues with getting the fletchings to adhere using the Bhoning glue (that stuff is crap) but when I switched to Goat Tuff they started sticking without a problem.

Now I use them only for hunting arrows (I don't like camo arrows) and the white or blaze orange shine very well in the woods.

Default Fletching!

The best glue ive came across & use on the wraps is, steel force, beyound bond!
Also it cuts your fletch time down to nothing!

I put the wraps on to help me see the arrow, especially if it is corkscrewing or doing something squirrelly. If it flies straight, I dont see much, cause all I'm looking at is the nock ( no I don't look at my arrow really, but at 50-60 yards I or a partner can see it fly funny). The wraps are just to help me locate in the target or if I ginch one at 80-100. Doesn't take much to miss at those ranges. Putting them in front works fine. I use Goat Tuff, and my vanes never blow off. A Lumenock in low light is better than any wrap.
