I do ALOT of deer hunting and the day is coming. But my dream hunt would be for a large bull elk. Like I said my dream hunt. Time is slipping away pretty fast, but one of these days........

Well for me it would be an Elk. That has been a dream of mine for a long time. Although A big Mule Deer is a very close 2nd choice.

I would book something that I know I could not get otherwise on a self guided hunt in my regular hunting areas.

I had to pick Elk. I've killed WT and Mulies, and the thought of caribou do nothing for me.

Moose are dumb as hell and so stupid that as long as you get the right side of the arrow on the string you'll kill it. I'd much rather take an Elk anyday.

My first choice is elk and then caribou. But I will probably end up doing Caribou first since easier to book a Bou hunt.

PA just started allowing elk hunting by lottery a few years back. I hope to hit the lottery. I have a little camp that has elk running through it in the fall. They sure make fall turkey interesting!

you live in Texas, I thought you'ns had tons of mature bucks. The rack height of your 2.5 year olds is most impressive from what I've seen on TV.
Me, I would love to shoot a big ole hog but a big bugling elk would have to be my choice as well.

Last year was pretty wacky slip...it was bad all over the state. Saw lots of deer, but less than usual and hardly any mature bucks. Saw one really good one on my last day in the tree, but he eluded me....he is mine this year though!
And I hunt in the hill counrty where the deer aren't so big....drive 2 hours south from where I am and they are monsters!

I voted whitetail. Nothing is more of a challenge than a mature record whitetail. Smart, elusive, and where I hunt they just don't have the chance to grow that old. Boone and Crocket record book with a bow that is.
