Im done with Morrell Targets

I was on there web sight getting ready to order a replacement midsection for my boinic buck and a Indoor range target and looked up and seen a pic of Jimmy Houstonon there websight so if there sponcering that low life piece of trash im not buying or useing there product infact I took and burned all 3 of my morrell targets and ordered 3 from delta and 1 from rinehart I also called my local proshop that I deal with and there not going to sell there products anymore

I sent an email to Morrell a couple of days ago complaining about Houston. I was surprised to get a quick response back from Mr Morrell. He is of the opinion that the videos are doctored and that Houston didn't do what the videos seem to show. He is sticking by him.

I have to admire Mr Morrell for his loyalty to someone. Unfortunately, the videos that I saw didn't look doctored to me and looked pretty for Houston. While I am looking for a new target and I do like the Morrell targets, I'm taking a wait & see attitude on this. If Houston did what it looked like on video, he is getting everything that he deserves and Morrell will look bad for sticking by him. If it proves that these are doctored videos, then Morrel will look like a stand up guy.

The videos looked bad. Does anyone have anything to prove that they are not valid?

This would not stop me from buying the Morrells. If Jimmy is convicted of wrong doing, then I'm sure Morrell will cancel his contract with them.

Last year there were video clips on the internet of Jimmy Houston, the fishing show host, that allegedly showed him shooting drugged deer in a small pen. I don't know if they were real or phony and I don't have the links to them any longer.

What I saw looked real and was pretty disgusting. I understand and share anyone's anger at Houston. However, Mr Morrell thinks that the videos are phony. I have to give him credit for standing by someone that he thinks is innocent. It would be easy for him to disassociate from Houston. I hope that he is right. Hunting doesn't need the kind of bad publicity that I saw on the videos.

Here's the link to the videos in question. It has to do with staged hunts, canned hunts in very small pens, proping up drugged deer so they can be shot on camera, etc.

I really wouldn't go that far to say that you are not going to shoot morrel targets because of Jimmy Houston....
No matter what he has done if it is all true,and so far it appears that it is.
Noone seems to care about what he did,almost as if it is another OJ deal.
You should excuse the shooters at vegas and the other national events held everywhere in the country for shooting them too.
Um,UM.ah.... our whole range is 4x4 morrels...so now what?
I don't think we will be tearing them down anytime soon due to this dude.Ha.ha.

Maybe there is a better bag/target company out there?
Yea,right?They will do what they have to just like every other manufacturer who has any involvement with him when it comes to the truth being told.REAL hunters have there own judge and jury in there minds.
I know Morrell are makers of totally awesome targets.
If Morrell or any other company/s who supports Jimmy Houston were.....

They would stop this madness.
Get the people who are pissed off straitened out by dealing with it.
This is something even I have watched on TV for years now even since he has even done this stuff is still on the air so?
Needless to say how many of our youth grow up thinking he is a sportsman,as well as one of the great all timers.
There are plenty of ethical good hunters in the world who are much better at hunting to take his place anyways,really.
I suggest he stays in the boat frenchin largemouth somewhere down in mexico if it is.
