small growths found while processing
I was processing a deer today and I found about 4 small growths inside the fat lining. I have never seen this before and was wondering if anyone knows what it is. They look like black soybeans and appear to be attached to the fat .

Over the past 10 years, we have found those in almost every deer we have processed. I have never gotten a satisfactory answer as to what they are. They always seem to be in thick fat. Next deer we find them in, I'm gonna have to get a good pic, and send it off to our state deer biologist, and see what he says. It has never stopped me from consuming a deer.
