First welcome to the forum...

I really like the Black ice, I t was #1 on my to buy list for a while.
It was smoothe and fast, not much vibration, easily cured with a good stabilizer and or an STS...
Good weight and balance, I enjoyed shooting it alot...

Thumbs up

Really liked The Black Ice. Felt great for me. Almost had bought one but got the Guardian instead. Still might get one as my back up bow. Still kind of second guessing myself, but the price I got the Guardian for I couldn't pass up.

same story with me. I ended up with a guardian but I really really liked the black ice. I would still like to get one.

Same here....i ended up buying a General because i came up with a little extra cash but i'm thinking of trading my Bear Instinct for a Black Ice as a backup bow.

I have a Black Ice in target colors. I really like it had some viberation at first then put on an sts on and that took care of it all. My 3-D scores went up about 20 points on the avarage. I shoot 60# at 29 inch draw and a 290 grain arrow. The conograph that I shot through had it a 296 fps. I would buy another one.

I have one, great bow. Smooth draw with little shock and noise. you won't be dissapointed if you get one. some are even saying its better than the new marquis.

I felt the same way as Brokenarrow. It fit nice, was pretty quiet, shock free and very smooth. I definitely would consider one if I were in the market for a new bow. I have not shot the new Marquis or new Bowtechs yet... Those will be interesting to try out when my shop finally gets them in.

Not so much a complaint...but, there was another bow I shot that was a better deal...
Pearson Z34...It's a single cam 34" ATA very similar to the Black Ice in feel...Barnsdale limbs, Lifetime guaranty on the entire bow...
30fps faster than the BI and $50 cheaper
The one I shot was setup @ 29"-60# w/ a 350 gr arrow We got 319fps the BI was only putting out 287 w/ the same setup...

No complaints at all! I've had my 2008 about a month. It's smooth, quiet, fast, and lightweight.

Default Black Ice

I'm new to this forum and like what I've read so far. I purchased a 2008 Black Ice about a month ago and really like the bow. Although I am having trouble getting it tuning right. I've been out of 3D archery for about 10 years, I'm trying to climb back in. Any well intended help would be appreciated. Some specs. on the bow are: 60-70# draw weight, 29" draw length, 400 Gold Tip arrows, NAP Quick Tune 800 rest, Check-It Double Bar Sight from my '85 Oneida H-500, Trophy Hunter release.
Any help you guys and gals can provide would be greatly appreciated.
