First was a fiberglass recurve that my dad shot when he was a kid. I think it was a bear but I am not certain.......What I do know for sure is that it was a red one.

Easy
My first bow was an Indian Golden Comanche 50lbs with about 50% letoff. I still have the bow it does not have a string on it. It has a full length cable all around. I miss those days of tearing up straw bales in the back yard at home. If I had a nickel for all the paper plates I tore up wow. And back then I thought the only aluminum arrows were 2117 which they mostly were. When I was 17 I shot a buck with that bow while he ran past my stand. Was'nt the best shot placement(liver) but at that age I just had to give it a try which I would never do now. Nice thing was he only ran about 30 yards and fell over. I did not know a buddy down the edge of the field from me had shot it also I just thought he spooked it. I'll bet that deer thought what did I do to deserve this one arrow through the lungs and another through the liver. He was a nice little 9 pointer and I remember the hunt as though it was yesterday. Funny thing was my brother had an eagle eye view of the action from a fence row about 75 yards from me. He said he seen both of our shots and thought about flinging an arrow for good measure. Oh well that bow will stay with me til I leave this earth.

First bow
My first bow (which I still have and shoot) is a 1988 Martin Cougar magnum. Smooth shooter, used it for all these years until I recently bought a new Hoyt in December. I will most likely have it forever.
