string splitter
I was wondering if anyone has used the string splitter like they use on the Wild outdoors hunting show. I want to buy one but at about 15 bucks I would like some feedback first

I'm using the MINI size StringSplitter now...I think the Mini is the way to go if you want to use one of them, for me the other 2 sizes are to big. The Mini is comparible to a 1/4" peep sight, good enough for some 3-D shooting and just right for hunting I think.
The other sizes would be good if you have REALLY bad eye sight, but for the person with good or average eye sight the Mini is a better choice. I was shooting mine with a Spot Hogg SDP sight but I've now changed to a Sword 3rd plane sight and I havent gotten my other bow in yet "hopefully tomorrow" to set it up with the Mini and the new Sword sight...Not sure how it's gonna work out with the Sword sight yet cause the sight guard is a tad bit smaller on the Sword compared to the Spot Hogg I had. But once the new bow gets here I'll set it up and try it out.
I will tell you that the StringSplitter lets in alot more light than any other type of peep that I have used in the past. The diamond shape it makes when
served in lets in a ton of light compared to a regualr O shaped peep sight.

I have all three...
The Mini, The Jr. And the Classic.
All 3 work great, although I prefer the mini and jr.
I have taken several deer with them and they work great. My wife and 12 year old son also use them. It has changed the face of my hunting this past season.
I give you my word, you will not regret using it as it is well worth the money tenfold.
Best,
Mike Males

They should work ok for hunting but I would not recommend them for target shooting. The only other downside is the weight. I checked one the other day and it weighed 22 grains which is about double what a super peep would weigh.

thanks for all your imput. If I do go with the splitter I will go with the mini just due to the weight. Nice work getting the fam involved. Just purchaced a diamond edge for the wife and it should be in this week. Enjoy the woods

I know nothing about string splitters, so I just went looking around on ebay. Check it out you may get into one for 1/2 of what you thought. They look interesting, my father-in-law has trouble seeing through his peep despite how big he drills it out. I am definitely going to look into this for him. Good luck!

Just put one on my DXT. I like it so far. The eyesight isn't what it once was and this peep gives you more field of view and more light. I have a hunting rig and low light conditions were a factor. Went with the mini and so far so good.

I'm playing around with a red dot sight on one of my bows and I bought a string splitter to try with it. When I get my press fixed and put it in, I'll let you know how it works....
