IBO Qualifier - April 19th-20th - N. Andover, MA.
Gonna try again. This is the next one up. It's Saturday and Sunday April 19th and 20th. Mapquest says it's 3hrs from me. So subtract a good 20-30min from that and it should be close.
Sign in is from 7-12 both days.
I'd prefer the Saturday shoot as we would have the whole day and Sunday to recoup. I'd even consider a room Friday night.
Anyone interested?

The NJ one isn't until late June and I believe it's the last one around here. I plan on using that one as my "last resort" shoot. I'd like to try 1 or possibly 2 more before then to try and qualify in the Freestyle class.
If I don't I'll go to the NJ qualifier and shoot HC.
That's the plan anyway.

Not sure why you would be insulted. It's your choice as to what class you shoot as it is mine. I'm not bound to shoot any one class.
It's no guarantee that I would qualify in HC either. I just know I would have a better chance due to the closer targets.
This is a moot topic anyway. It turns out Adam and I qualified. I emailed the IBO to ask a couple questions and it seems they count tie scores as 1 score so I ended up finishing 19th.
My invitation is in the mail.

John, I'll still make the trip. My brother and Jen might want to go as well so there still may be a crew willing to make the trek.

3 hour drive each way, it will be a 12 hour day no doubt...
Leave at 4 or 5 in the AM? What day will have less people? Saturdays are better for me, Church on Sundays but maybe I could miss one for this...

It just came across like it was that much easier in our class. Actually I may just be setting something up for the step up into the big leagues..... I shot a scope the other night and man it is fun.

Right now Saturday is the best day for me as well as for one of the other guys from my club that wanted to go.
Not to mention it gives us a day to recoup after what will be a long day of travel and shooting.
But we can discuss further.

Easier to some extent because the yardages aren't as far. But, when it comes down to it I still have to make the shot. Like I said, a better chance but no guarantees.

Lol, after the way my year has started I was thinking about just shooting the hunting setup from here on out!
Guess we should probably figure out a day first and then go from there.
Speak up all who want to go!
Saturday would be my choice.

I cant let this go by without adding my 2 cents.,.....just because I don't like the "tone"......
Just for your info - Virg DID move up this year, although he didnt have too.....we ALL shot Hunter Class, and although you dont HAVE to move up until you WIN the class - Virg moved up to ADVANCED Hunter Class. AND qualified!
So whatever court Virg's balls are in........remember - their HIS balls....and noen of your concern. He doesnt have to answer to anyone but the IBO.
