Can't believe I came back to this thread !
But I did , as today while " yours trully " was out for a nice 50+ mile bicycle ride on my French made silver PEUGEOT road bike on the Sauk Trail , I had an accident ( and I don't mean peeing or crapping my pants ) as I was turning on the gravel road , some nut (maybe those RAGBRAI bitches or that person in a red pickup ) had put loose lime road ( that was just like pee gravel )that was about 4 inches thick ( just like being on snow with a bike ) and I turned 90 degrees on it and than I went down with no time to unlock my clips from the eggbeater pedals ! That stuff was everywhere , they must of unloaded a few semloads of that stuff .
I got really beat up and yes my leg bleed that ended under the bike , as I was laying there this real sharp girl came by and as me if I was " OK " !
I was looking at her !
I cleaned the pee rock and blood off with my drinking water and I accompany her to the nearest town !
After we parted , boy did my leg hurt !
It hurts like " Hell " but I'll survive , as I did go another 40 + miles .
I just hate that when that happens !
I had a great day swapping stories of all my accidents when other bicylist noticed my fresh battle scares !
I rode fast enough after that , that the turkey vultures never followed me !
Now you know and you are !

A little known fact !
Word down at the local wateringhole is the best way to get rid of them yellow jackets in a scenario like yours, '" Longcut " ' is to first make sure the homeowners insurance is paid up and than maybe a little fire will help smoke them stingy critters out !
 .......................... .......... .........................................
They'll be more than yellow jackets looking for a new home !

Last go around I had with those bugger was in my wood pile. The old lady got a kick out of me dressed up in a pair of insulated cover-alls, heavy gloves, face mask, hat, and safety glasses in 85 degree day pitching wood off the pile trying to get to the nest. Oh were those bugs mad, they was flying into me trying to sting me. HA I should them

I'ld take the yellow jackets over the crocs anyday, but they will still cause you to do the sillest jig you've ever seen.
