hey its best he tries out his skills on a pet, that way if all doesnt go well, chances are the injured bird will run back to the turkey coop......making it easier to track down and kill with a gun....

I just love how Chip is trying to give sound advice and yet his first ever turkey hunt is tomorrow.
Good luck, take lots of arrows.

Nice place. I can't imagine what it'd cost around here for a place like that. I'm paying off a half a million $ loan on a place where my neighbors are so close you can talk to them when the sliding door is open.
I think I heard my neighbor spray some air freshener last night after I broke wind in my living room.
Ah...to once again live in a place where you don't need fences. Some place where homes are far enough apart that you get one or two good shots at an "will wisher" before they get anywhere near your property line.

Don't those gilloutine (sp?) heads work from 50ft when you can only see a head?

My Bullheads will be aimed at the turkey's melon on Thursday afternoon (of course it will probably just be aimed at one of my decoys, but that is beside the point...they are easier to hit any way)

hey Slip,
Ditch the cones, go with some benchrest shooting style wind flags and set them at the appropriate yardages. Then you have wind vector and velocity ant each yardage

Not according to your yardage markers.
Seriously though, sorry you didn't get a good chance at one, maybe next week.

I couldn't agree more.
lets see........, I've invited Archie to my place on multiple instances, I told him my mom would even bake cookies and make kool-aid for us, and provide all the popsicles he can eat. Has he accepted? NO.
Who knows, he may very well be able to outshoot me, its possible, I'm just your average chip but I think real men raise their game when its game time. But I plan on feasting on Archie's humility if he can scrape up the courage to face me and we will find out once and for all who is better, Alpine or Elite!
He knows where I live if he wants to find me. I'm not resorting to a verbal battle so this is the last I will be saying about this, I like to walk the walk, not talk the talk but if I have to break out the C - word on him,........I don't know.....I might have to.....

Living with parents? Are you 12? If you lived here I'd ask if you were 35. They DO tend to stay in the nest a bit long, here.
Heck, I bet some of em don't even get weened until they are well into their teens.

A book about you?
I can see a book being written about Jeffrey Dahmer before they ever write a book about YOU.
