Default Back Tension Advice

I have shot for a long time, but have just started shooting 3-d. I have borrowed 2 back tension releases from a guy I shoot with. He showed me how to shoot them and so far I really like shooting it. I was wondering if any of yall have some advice for me.

Advice on BT, lots of blank bale shooting. Stand 3 ft in front of a bale, no target on the bale. Draw back, close eyes and work on execution. Do this for about 2-3 weeks.

Then put a target up and see if you can execute the same way while aiming at 5 yards. Work on this a couple days, then work back to 10 yards and on till 20 yards.

If you start punching or ripping thru the release move back up in yardage and keep working at it.

If you jump right in and try shooting a 3D or spots right away, be prepared for your scores to fall. This is normal. They will creep back up and then beyond your old high scores, usually!
