Hey Team,
When does your season begin in your area? I will be hunting WV starting Oct. 25. I got my stands hung this past weekend.

our season in Wi opened this past weekend but between the 8o deg temps the full moon monsoon that went through here this past weekend oh yeah and the skeeters the size of crows I am waiting probably tll the middle of next week to get out. It makes it kind of hard seeing as I got probably a 130 in deer on camera yesterday and one of our nice 10 pts with a 20 in inside got hit by a car this past weekend Still plenty of nice ones out there though Ill try to hold up my end

I checked the 10 day forecast for Ripley, WV and looks like rain Saturday and snow showers Mon. and Tuesday. My luck has got to change for the better.

Default Doe Down

Well, I put a doe down for Team 3 Saturday evening here in WV at 5:09pm. I didn't put the best shot on her at 10 yrds, I rushed the shot while she was walking and hit her back in the kidney area so I waited till the next morning to go retreive her. She went about 50yrds and piled up, but where I hunt I can not see past 30yrds. Now I'm going to chase that buck.

I'm got back home in SC from my WV trip today. Well, I'm sick. I hit a big buck last Thursday evening at 17yrds and he ducked and the arrow hit high right behind the shoulder and the arrow was sticking out of him. The buck ran about 50 yards and the arrow broke off and I recovered both pieces of the arrow, the arrow did exit the off side. I had bright red blood but very little. I waited 2.5 hours before starting the track job. We trailed it for about 200yrds and decided to go back the next morning. We picked up the trail the next morning and with very little blood we were able to track it another 125yrds up a steep hill from where we left off last night. We looked for a total of 6 hours doing a grid search from last blood and found nothing. Could the deer survive this shot?
