Leather strop ?
Can someone explain the process to me please. I have tried but don't see any real results. I used a 2.5" wide old leather work belt from HomeDepot and some chrome wheel polish. I heard you don't even need a compound
 So what's the right way to do this? I am wanting to touch-up some Montec's...

You'd lay them flat and pull them backwards, very little downpressure. My strop is not smooth leather, and I think thats why I did'nt make out to good with the montecs. An extra-fine stone or ceramic worked better for me.
