No acorns of any sort in my neck of the woods, this year. White Oaks are some of my prefered hunting stands. In years they produce, I cover some with a tarp and pull it back when the snow is deep enough to make it hard for deer to dig for them. The smell is hard for some deer to resist.

Got deer in my yard every night about 1:30 or 2:00am. Have a apple tree in the back yard. Whitetails and muley's. Mainly whitetails most of the time. I live in town. Its a wyoming thing. Not to much on acorns up here.
