OK, i screwed up and everything happened so fast but, i shot at a small buck and just nicked the top of his back and only got a little fur ..i dont know how far he ran but it only seemed like he ran like 20-30 yards (by listening) he has a scrape about 20 yards away from the stand..do you think he will come back during daylight hours, hes pretty young so i dont know how smart he is but ya,...maybe he just thought it was a twig snapping and didnt notice anything touching his back i dont know..let me know what you think, thanks..

it's hard to say for sure but, yes I believe he will. As long as he didn't bust you there is no reason to believe that he even knew what happened.

A long long long time ago I was get down out of my tree stand and omg there a buck 9 pt. I put my release back on but I did not get it tight in the hurry put and arrow on the bow he is still standing there let one fly to make a long story short we tracked he for a mile 2 day later he showed up 50 yards from the same spot he went 30 more then to my freezer

I shot one and cut hair and blood from his chest. He jumped away then turned around and came right back. Didn't miss the second chance.
