Angry On average

what would you say would be a reasonable frequency (again, on average) for your wife/girlfriend to run the vaccum cleaner throughout the WHOLE house?

Is twice per week unreasonable?

It's vacuum (Einstien).... My Unit has strict instructions that the vacuum is only to be run when I am not in the house...

She never did when she lived here so I would say the frequency was never (zero?)

I do the vacuuming, entire house weekly heavy traffic areas daily... I also swab the decks (err, that would translate to "mop the floors" for you lubbers) I also do most of the cooking, and a good deal of the laundry, and ironing of my uniforms. Nobody in the house does it to MY exceedingly high standards.

However, I do NOT do Scullery (dirty dishes) nor scrub the heads.

My darling does other things that more than even out the ballance, like care for the kids, provide supplemental income, and " " on occasion

My wife runs it everyday through the whole house. If we are going to have guests it gets a second quick run before they are to arrive.

Some times this is a little excessive. We can not leave the house until it is done. Though I really like coming home to a clean house. The trade off is she does not cook.

Why would you leave the house with your wife?

Mine don't cook neither but that doesn't deter me from eating like a pig.

Default Trade off

Is twice a week reasonable? Yes, but it depends on whether she has a full time job and how the chores are split. I've always found a trade off on who will do what. Me personally all I want is a women who will clean and FOLD laundry. I'll wash it and do all the cooking.(I spent a few years cooking for living from Country Clubs to 4 Star. I'm a little perticular about food. Not tomention brutaly honest about it. That doesn't always go over well.) So to me twice a week is just fine.

I have found that women who don't have quite as many household skills tend make up for it in other areas.

Not exactly what I was implying. Besides don't most women consider shopping a household skill. Some I know would even consider it a craft or trade. Possibly a natural given right.

My unit does it when I tell her to...

OR she made me put in wood floors...

you choose which one sounds like the truth.

one of our kids loves mowing and vacuuming. Problem with the vacuuming, he's a boy and doesn't yet understand thats a woman's chore.

I have a couple (2) of the IRobot robotic vacuums and I love them. Everyday they automatically take off. vacuum their designated area and return to their home base for recharging.

funny, or not so much you should ask, in the last 30 days, we bought a new Vacuum, and a new hardwood floor upright cleaner thingy. Why the vacuum? Don't know, have one that works perfectly fine. And have a spare cordless one too, not to mention about 3 brooms with little to NO wear.

Why the hardwood floor cleaner? Well, because the one we had for about a year, and probably used a dozen times, was nocked down the stairs onto a concrete floor by some clumbsy dummy (not me, yes, the wife!) So, that ended up costing us another $200 which I was quite hot under the collar about...then, once we got it, I promptly put it together and it sat untouched for close to five weeks until one night, my feet were sticking to the hardwood so bad, I was having a hard time walking thru the kitchen and into the garage to get my beer (yes, I have to get my own) and I says to her: uh...when the hell you going to clean these floors, you insisted we run out and buy another and now you won't use it. She says, she would have done it a long time ago but since I (yes) never put the soap in it, she hasn't.

The sooner you learn to smile (like you mean it) and say "Yes, dear" (like you mean it) the better off everybody is going to be!
