Rytera Alien-X! Not your Daddy's bow!
I was able to shoot the prototype white Alien-X from the ATA show last night at Crackers shop. (1/14/09)
This bow is rediculous! The boys and girls at Martin/Rytera have outdone themselves with the Alien-X!
This thing held rock solid and steady!
The draw.................Like Butta'!
The back wall...........Rock Solid!
Hand Shock?............Forget about it!
The Grip..................Awesome! Hand's down my favorite grip of any bow. The angle is perfect. The throat is narrow without being too skinny. The side plates and leather wrap feel incredible! The cut outs are just plain SEXY!
I'm still smiling!
Do yourself a favor before buying your next bow and try this one first.
340fps has never felt so good! It actually shoots and feels more like a bow shooting 290-300. The laws of physics have been rewritten with the feel of the draw. Simply AMAZING!!
Rx
P.S. A couple friends at the ATA show mentioned a vibration after the shot. That was with a bow that was out of time and still a prototype. This perfectly timed gem had a barely noticable felt vibration, but I could not hear a thing. I noticed it because I was specifically looking for it. I tried a stabilizer on it and it was GONE! ZERO! ZILCH! You could shoot it without a stab and it would never be an issue.
edit: I shot this bow again tonight set up at 27". 61# 306gr arrow 309fps

I'd love to have on of those in my stable. Don't see me paying retail though. Although, I wouldn't pay retail for no bow.

You bet!
I was there last night too. I am participating in a deer population control study in Unit 19 in KS that goes until 1/31/09. I tried to convince Crackers to let me hunt with the prototype Alien-X for the next few days but he didn't go for it. Too much interest and too many people coming to the shop to see it to let it out the door. Thought it would be cool to take the first deer ever with an Alien-X

January ended with good results for our study. Our group took 29 antlerless deer in 29 days of hunting. There were 8 of us bowhunting on Saturday 1/31/09 and 6 of us took deer in the 65 degree weather.
