I understand from a post on ALC that it is going to the printers this week.

Hopefully, it will mail next week.

It certainly has the potential to be a great resource.

Good luck, Chris. Hopefully more advertisers will sign on to help get the subscription price more reasonable.
$36 for 6 issues is a bit steep.

Not if the information is as good as I expect it to be.

For me, it would be cheap at twice the price.

If these writers are willing to write what they know and not hold anything back, $6 an issue is a bargain.

Also, I understand that they are in contact with other tournement pros for future articles. They apparently are not limiting it to the guys that they have now.

I just hope that it lives up to the potential.

This is what I thought at the onset of the announcement! I bit my lip because I was afraid of being disemboweld in the forums. That said, I will probably bite the bullet and subscribe if the reviews if the first issue are good.

I am also concerned of the keeping archers interested statement above. One of the things I do not like about the "other" mags, is the same persons writing the same articles in every issue. There are enough pros out there, if they are utilized to keep this new mag intersting. I have great respect for those involved, but in the long run they will need to solicite information from their peers, amatures and those under 18 in the tournament scene.

That is another problem, some of the information in the other mags is so out of date its pathetic. Why would a publisher waste a whole page on an avertisement for archers to come to a tournament that has already taken place?

If you get one thing out of 6 issues that helps in your shooting, then it was money well spent. How many times have you bought a new release, rest, arrows, sight, etc thinking it will help your scores only to find out it didn't. Then you turn around and sell them in the classifieds or to your buddy at a loss. And these items cost a lot more than $36

Man....I went to order a subsricption and WOW. Kinda pricey for 6 issues.

I still will to support the sport but they have to get the price down for it to last any length of time.

If I am experimenting with equipment I will only buy used. I rarely sell at a loss by doing this.

I like the idea of the mag but, for me, it's overpriced. I'm not on the tournament trail. I'm a backyard shooter that shoots local 3-D. I guess Im one of the few that really doesn't care about seeing pics of the pros or their tourney results.

Not saying I couldn't learn from what they say, but I bet I could find the same info somewhere on the net.

I think it is a very reasonable price. Hunting magazines from the newsstands are between $4 and $6. I will definately try it for a year.

I'm not gonna start buying releases every other week to try to shoot better.
