I can shoot TURBONOCKS Bareshaft at 40yds!!
The high rpms stabilize the arrow more effectively than an arrow that is not spinning. That is why bullets spin. There are very few guns that require you to fletch bullets. (LOL)
Randy has tried to do this without the turbonocks using just regular nocks.
They will not even stay on the bale he uses.
Something to think about.
When this Six arrow shot is set up , only one arrow can be in "tune"
the rest are either very nock high or nock low and the others are extremely nock high and nock low. Yet because of the stabilizing effect of instantly spinning the arrows just like bullets they will group consistently.
This is impossible to do with straight nocks that can at best when tuned properly shoot bareshaft 20yds.
Anyhow I just got a communication from Randy's MOM:
I just received word from London!! Randy has officially made the Guinness Book Of World Records!! He shot 4 arrows, then 5 arrows and then 6 arrows all without missing. He only had 3 chances to do this in front of a live studio audience! If he would have missed the 4, he would have had to shoot again and that would have been 2 shots and he wouldn't have been able to make the 6 arrow shot. Either way they were all record shots because no one has every shot multiple arrows with one shot at a distance of 33 feet before. He was told don't worry if you don't do it this time, we will bring you back.
They are all going crazy over there. They put a Guinness silver medal around Randy's neck and they played the song Hit Me with your Best Shot before he shot!! We are going to receive a copy after it airs in 2 weeks.
As I kid , I would make arrows in my dads shop. I used to daydream of making the best arrows in the world! I would experiment with all kind of different fletching shapes and sizes. My dad who was an aeronautical engineer would always bring me back to reality and explain to me why my experiments did not do what I wanted them to.
Well , I believe that somewhere up there my old man is smilin on this one.
Yep. Dad. Randy Oitker just got in Guinness book of world records shooting six arrows bareshaft with the Goofyest nocks in the world.
When Randy gets back from london he should have a copy of the show and I will try and post it here.
