No pics, but I got a doe with a Bear Whitetail 2 my first year bowhunting after 20 plus years off from shooting bows. I had two clean misses on a 6 point and an 8 point earlier that same year. I've upgraded my bow twice since then but the deer aren't any more dead now than they were with my old bow. I do enjoy shooting more now and that helps me practice more and to be a more ethical hunter.

Buck
My first animal taken was a 6 point buck. I took it with my Fred bear odyssey and this was my first year hunting.

Took me seven years and many misses and joining a bow club before I ever harvested a doe with a bow. I sucked and didnt have a qlue how to shoot a bow properly. Kinda embarrassing now. I missed a bunch.
DB
First deer was doe with a Hoyt Rambo bow.

2008 was my second year hunting, first year with a bow. I did manage to take two deer this year. I wish I could say that my first deer was taken with the first arrow I let fly toward a deer but truth be told in the previous weeks I had two clean misses. It took me a bit to get through my head that it was not a target at exactly 20 or 30 yards. When I saw the doe come out I knew that this deer and I would be connected. She showed her self at about 35 yards and started moving my way. I drew my bow with her at about 25 yards and waited for her to stop walking. When she did stop all I could see of her was her head and her tail at about 12-15 yards. Figures she would stop with a tree between us. I held the bow drawn for what felt like hours(maybe 2 or 3 minutes) until I knew either move my body to get a shot or draw down as I could not hold on much longer. I leaned forward letting my harness hold me up and could see just to behind the vitals. Like it was meant to be as I focused on my top pin she lifted her head and looked dead away from me. I knew that was as good as it is going to get and that this was a gift from the game gods. I let my arrow fly and hit the right lung, hart and came out through her left shoulder blade. She ran about 60 yards and crashed. I can still see it in my head and will likely never for get it.

3 years, 3 misses
Took me 3 years and 3 misses before I harvested my first archery deer. I had 2 clean misses, one each of my first two seasons, then last season I had a hit on one but didn't recover. Then on a cool fateful November evening, I finally let the Slick Tricks bite again on a nice little buck. Watched him fall within 30 yards.
Daniel Boone helped me out quite a bit over the last season with my shooting and hunting. Got to spend a day with him last fall and he really taught me a lot.
