The original blobs or your version?
I seen on another site there was a ton of discussion and foam recipes thru different foam companies on a people trying to copy the blob.
So my question is; Is this in fact the original or a remake?
Because from the sound of it the original was extremely tough and yet very affordable but hard to duplicate.

I received my blob target today via the Michigan trip that Girtski on AT ran. It weighs in at 106 pounds! I get about 2 inchs of penetration The arrows dont pull out very easy though. About the same as a new block target.

Hi Folks
Just to let you know folks I picked up a large blob from bownut44, prior to getting it he asked what type of poundage and arrow setup would be used I commented that the average would be 55 to70lbs and Jessica would be shooting her 48lb equipment also. He thought the medium density would be perfect.
Well I have it setup outside now and it’s just plain awesome!
Large enough for shooting 80 to 100 yards and having a little forgiveness when practicing in the wind
Extremely easy arrow pulling -
No arrow lube was needed and a easy 1 hand arrow retrieval without a arrow puller
And the arrow stopping ability tested with 2 different setups both 70lbers and 300+ FPS at close range was unreal.
This thing is just crazy the holes heal up fast, great stopping ability and easy arrow pulling – by the looks of it, it should last for many-many years and we do shoot a lot.
Thanks for a great backstop bownut44
I already have 2 other folks wanting a blob
Anyone in the Wisconsin area wanting to see this- you are more then welcome to check it out and I may even fire a few arrows off to show you how well it works.

We purchased a blob target in Augusta.
Well....we shot an arrow through it already....right in the heart of the target. I just do not see how these can stand up for 10 years....
The passthrough was shot from my wife's bow (49 lbs)

I have the large blob – this is best thing I have ever seen as far as stopping arrows
Size – mine is est. at 40”x40”x20”
I have shot my 70 lbs bows at point blank and then my daughter using only 1 hand is able to pull theses arrows without an arrow puller and without any arrow lube –Unreal!
NO arrow bonding or adhering due to heat and friction when arrows enter
And all the holes close back up shut
The coolest backstop I have ever had and we shoot 1000s of arrows every year
Mine is a Medium density large blob the wrap on it say's 165 and that’s pretty close to what I think it may weigh – one Awesome outdoor backstop.
I then was lucky enough to find someone driving by in that area and they brought it back to my home town here in WI.
This thing is Unreal!

I must be a bit out of the loop here. What makes these so special compared to other targets?

impervious to weather, looooong lasting, by-product (left over) of a carpet manufacturing process, so we are keeping them out of land-fills, and supporting the habit of a fellor archer.

Chris...I am not sure either. We purchased one and shot through it in about a month....(from after the Augusta ASA shoot to two weeks before the London ASA shoot)
I was disappointed in the durability to say the least...
