Has anyone tried T.H.E.
If any of you have not tried the T.H.E. scoring method you should come try it. Its a great method that is growing. We have 7 states involved with us now and would like to invite you guys to come shoot with us.

my brother won the
THE world championship last year in the single pin hunter class with a score of 429. He said it was a great shoot. We have shot the other 3d's for years. By the way he talks this is going to catch on big time. He is having a THE shoot at his range in May.

Scoring for T.H.E.
Here is how the scoring goes 15, 12, 10, -5 and 0 if you miss. The minus five is anything outside the score rings, or kill zone. This is set up to help you to be a better shot. This takes out the old saying at least i hit foam. I am sending you this email address so you can see how everything works.
www.the3d.org I hope this will help give you a good idea of how our org. works and hope to maybe see you at one of our shoots.

About 7 or 8 years ago I shot an indoor 3D League that used that scoring system. It was tough, but fun, and excellent practice for actual hunting situations.

Scoring
It seems like a good idea. any one who is a hunter and shoots 3d shold be able to keep in the kill zone. Thats the whole idea anyway. but this is a good way to "punish" the bad shot. I shoot a 10x-10-8-5 scoring at most of the shoots around here. and there is no reason you should be able to shoot a buck target in the toe and still get 5 points.

T.H.E. came to Missouri last summer and I have shot every shoot they have had here since then, including the Mo. State Championships last weekend. One of the best shoots that you will attend. There may be obsticles on the course which makes it more like a true hunting situation. You won't find to many cut lanes to shoot down I really like the concept of -5 for wounds. These guys work hard to put on a good shoot, get out there and give em a try.

Reply to shooter
Currently we don't have any ranges in Ohio. If you could get us some range info. for that state we would be glad to visit with them if they are interested. I would like to invite you to our World Championship that will be held at Ada, ok. It will be July 14, 15, and 16. Location of the shoot is at the Ponotoc Tech. Center. 3 day event and 2 ranges that will have 30 targets each. Lots of novilty games and a long shot game. Hope to here back from you soon.
