Broadheads?
I am trying to figure out witch one to use this year. I have been shooting Mechanical broadheads for about 5 years, but want to go back to fixed blades. I was thinking about either, trophy ridge rocket ultimate steel or slick trick magnum 100, has anyone ever shot or heard anything good about the ultimate steel broadheads?

Try the Shuttle T locks. They fly great and are very tough heads. Just one mans opinion though.

The ultimate steel flies great and leaves good blood trails...only drawback was that the blades sometimes come out after they are pulled out of the ground on a passthrough...the blades don't seem to lock in the ferrule all that well....but that was like 4-5 yrs. ago....maybe they improved them since then.

I used to shoot Thunderheads before I went to mechanicals. Tough, dependable and not overpriced. They tuned ok for me with some learning and patience.

I use Thunderheads 100 Gr for years. Tried some different one in between, but always went back to Thunderheads. About 3 years ago tried 100 gr. G5 Montes and love them great head. They set up easy, shoot just like my field points, very good blood trials and blow through every thing I shoot. If your a Thunderhead or Muzzy shooter your going to love G5 Montec it's a better head.

Kind of looks like the striker from G5. If they say it flys great at longer distances, then why not try some out

I was thinking the same thing as far as looks and performance. I'm going
to give them a try. Ohio's season starts in Oct. - I'll post a review as soon as I can then

Do appreciate this year's starting date my friend Not making excuses - for years, season generally started the first Sat. in Oct. This worked out great for me as I got married in Oct. some 32 years ago. Only problem is the wifes birthday is in Nov. - Being a typical male, I had trouble keeping our anniversary and her BD straight, until I associated it with hunting season. You wouldn't want to get me in the dog house now would you
Good thing her, the boys and my bd's all have a 4 in them or I would never remember the actual day
Now that I look back over this post - I have to snicker. Life's to short to let the little things (like a week) cause me to feel I have to explain myself

It always worked out for me, hunting elk the last week in sept. and getting home for the opener here. Now we miss Ohio's opener. That's the reason that I remembered it. Just didn't want you to miss it also.

Yes those are G5 Stickers, with Black out finish on the Lutz Blades!
Special Note! Bass Pro Shops, these are $10.00 cheaper than the regular packaged Stricker! looks like a real deal to me..
