No, I don't wanna know how slow it is.

I'm still not a big fan of the draw cycle. I perfer my Bowtech OG to the draw, especially for target. But it sure does make it easy to slowly draw and slowly let down which is pefect for hunting

I have actually spoken to Doug Hutchinson on a couple of different ocassions and asked about his thoughts on the 07 line he was very vauge But I did get the impression that "more speed" was in mind. You must keep in mind that Ross's intentions were to build a smooth, quite hunting bow. In doing this "speed" was not necessarilly the most important issue. With the increaseing growth and more individuals interested in 3d, you will probably find one or two bows come out a bit faster. But, with an IBO rating of 305fps on the Cr334 and 303fps on the Cr337, they are not really that slow of a shooter.

By the way, I love my Cr337

my SB only does 260 so speed really is not the problem.....its just when dred was getting ready to by that bow.....speed was a considering factor.....I was just wondering thats all.....

It was a huge factor for me, but the $$$ wasn't there to get the speed I wanted in the bow I wanted... so something had to be sacrificed... and about 20 FPS off IBO was what got cut.

So I went and shot a cr334 today and I have to say itis a nice shooting bow........a little more hand shock than I would have liked but said bow did not have a stabilizer or any string silencers so.....I have to say after shooting it I would not hesitate to buy a Ross......and thats a lot being as I only shot it a handful of times.......I liked there grip.....

On a side note.....they need to watch out who they give dealerships to.....

How was the draw cycle? I've heard the CR331 is a little different from the 34 and 37. I have no valley and a very spongy back wall on mine (which is why I perfer my BT OG) but it definately makes it much eaiser to let down without taking my armo out of its socket.

I liked the draw cycle alot on the cr334.....you know we all compare a new bow or one we are trying out......well I compare most things to a Switchback...not XT.....well I gotta say when I drew the Ross.....it reminded me of my switchback......drew smooth......it held steady....was like a half inch too long on the draw....or so it felt that way anyway......but where the switchback beats it is in smoothness of the shot......it does shoot nice though.....I do beleive though w/a S-coil and a an STS it would shoot just like the Switchback........and the prices are roughly the same.....

So I guess my overall feeling of the bow is on a scale of 5 it gets a 4.75....

and just in case you are wondering.....the Switchback also receives a 4.75...

the reason is I have always argued w/the grip on mine....

Thats the greatest thing about archery, everyone likes something different. Personally I perfer my OG because I actually LIKE having abit of a valley before running into that rock solid wall. I know other people who hate my bow because of the valley.

Default Ross Bows

I own two Ross 37's, both set-up identcally. The main reason I started shooting them is due to shoulder surgeries, I cannot stand under hard cams anymore. At any rate, my 37's shoot a 400 grn CX maxima at 272 fps so I dont consider it a slow bow.
If Ross comes out with some more speed 'cool', but I hope they don't sacrifice forgiveness and accuracy for a little speed.
