R100 Shoots - what are the economics?

The R100 threads indicate that from a user perspective they're fun shoots. What are the economics of these shoots? Are they money makers/profitable for clubs to host? What is Rinehart's take? We've heard from some local clubs who have investigated hosting an R100 that Rinehart collects and takes most of the proceeds, brings in a large truck that the club is left to offload and set up. Basically you do all the heavy work and Rinehart collects/controls the money. This may not be true and is only what we have heard from a few local clubs. We'd like to know the straight skinny from the host club community.

The info you have is accurate. There is quite a bit of work for the club guys to do, in addition they are not profitable for the club.

The Reinhart guy that showed up at the shoot I went to was a real treat to be around as well.

The shoots are profitable to the club as long as you have enough shooters to cover Rineharts expenses and the rest is divided amongst the club and Rinehart. Mike from Rinehart did help us unload and load the trailer, help with targets, bought dinner for the volunteers who helped setup, and helped throughout the shoot. The club can also sell drinks and food as we did, which makes money, and invite vendors in at a cost which is also profitable to the club. We just had ours this past weekend and had a blast, and hopefully will host again next year.
