Default Pin Nocks for Fatboys

If you are shooting less than 50pounds, pin nocks should be okay, any higher weight of bow and you may find pin nocks unsuitable as they tend to split. And a dry fire is a terrible waste of a bow to save an arrow from being split by a competitor.

Im not going to say your wrong, but I have to disagree with your info that your passing on to others, There are hundreds of shooters that use pin nocks while shooting indoor target , outdoor field, fita and 3D that use equipment pulling more then 50 lbs and with great success,

Even to the point that some of us are using a certain brand pin nocks on 68 lb Mathews Monsters and 70 lbs Mathews Apex 7s and so on with minimal issues to speak of other then normal wear and tare do to being hit by another arrow.

Even better and tougher pin nocks are being developed and released by companies again in 2010.

Just my thoughts

As far as I know the only way to put a pin nock in a Fat Boy is to simply buy the ACE pin and nock, it will fit in the g-nock bushing...

As for pin nocks and 70 pound bows... they work just fine... the single biggest contributor to nock failure is nock to serving fit... the little ears just ain't gonna hold up if your serving is to large... That and some of you fellows seem to think a nock should last 10 years.... most of us shooting the pro stake change them a little more regularly than that..

Yes, that's how the design works... same thing with A/C/C, A/C/E's, Navigators, Redlines etc...

There a few people I know that use fatboy nibs in CXL's. So, you should be able to heat and remove the factory bushing on a fatboy and install CXL pins and nocks!

I've been shooting the bohning pin nocks with CXL pins. Impressed with this combination so far.
