longbow question
how do you determine the length of string a longbow needs, i have a longbow that has never been strung, but i doesn't have a string..thanks for any help

the bow should have a label on it that shows the length of the bow such as 68 inches ABO, just go to a store and give them the ABO length of the bow and they will sell you one that fits. The actual string will be about 3 inches less than the length of the bow.... or go to tradgang.com or stickbow.com and post your request for info and they will give you a better answer. They are experts in making string and or trad bow setup...
