Which Do You Think Is The Best Target Bow

I was wonding what you thought was the best target bow on the market. I was thinking of buying a new one.

Hoyt Contender Elite or Vantage Elite in my opinion.

The one that balances for you, the string angle fits your form and draw length and has a cam system that is conducive to your shot.. sorry if that seems too vague for you... but the truth is that with very few exceptions any bow that fits the above will make a good target bow.. Manufacturer is of little consequence except for warranty and support after the sale.

those seem to be in the hands of more winners than others i have seen.
i don't think there is any one best bow or company, but several good platforms to choose from, then it comes down to setting the bow up correctly for you and getting it tuned well, then lots of practice

I swear, that Mathews Conquest looks just like my Ovation, except for the supressors, and the roller cable guides that mine has, and the Conquest doesn't. I think it's a re-run w/o the tweaks.

I like my Ovation. A single cam is easier to keep in tune than a dual cam, IMNO. It's plenty fast. I'm getting 290's out of mine with LS 400's, and it's got a long (40") ATA which is good for a "forgiving" bow. Not the lightest, with a 1' stab and a HHA slider for 3-D it'll shoot with them new bows.
And it's purtier too, not that damn camo toad puke...

I gotta agree with Javi here..I think these newer parallel limb bows have really changed the way these bows shoot and feel, you might shoot just as well with a 34" bow as you could with the old 38", 8" bh bows.

Find a bow that fits you well and that's the one you'll be accurate with.

Exactly right!

In addition to this, consider the venue that you plan to shoot the most. For 3D, a faster bow will help with judging errors. For indoor spots, a lower draw weight is easier on the shoulders.

The # 1 thing for a good target bow is that it fits YOU perfectly.
