Default Sight recommendation

I am looking at a new sight for my bow. It will be used for hunting and 3D. I am looking for a 3 or 4 pin sight, micro adjust. Two that I have seen that seem to fit the bill are Spot-Hogg's Real Deal and Axcel's Armortech HD. Do any of you have experiences with these or any others that you can recommend?

I prefer something on the higher end of quality than lower.

Thanks in advance

Bill

I have an armourtech HD that's sitting on a bench at home. It's a great sight, I just needed a dovetail type that I could slide further out. The old eye's aren't as good as they used to be. I'm currently shooting a Spott-hogg hogg-it and like it a lot.

I use the Spot Hogg-it for hunting and 3D.. i just got the wrapped one for my 3d sight and it is awesome.. it has never failed me and you can't beat their customer service.

My husband likes the Armortech a lot.

I also have a hogg-it and love it. Never even laid eyes on the axcel, so I can't give you a fair comparison of the two.

I have owned a spot hogg hogg it and the axcel hd.
Both are great sights... IMO the spot hogg was a little nicer...but for some reason, unless it was fully extended on the dove tail...it vibrated a little..
I thought the spot hogg was a little brighter...built great and awesome CS.
I still own the axcel, it is a little easier to adjust, a little lighter and built very well.

This was just my experience... IMO these are 2 of the nicer sights available...in no way was a disappointed with either.
Good luck.

I picked up a axcel HD this year due to the fiber protection within the pin. I have to say I love it so far.

If I were to get a spot hogg it would be a hogg-it hunter with a wrap.

I like my Boss Hogg 3 pin wrap but you can get it with up to 7 pins.

I really appreciate the feedback. Thank you. One further question. Some of these sights offer different size gaurds. Why one someone pick a large gaurd versus a small one and vice versa?

My understanding it is in relation to the peep...you would like the guard to fill (or just about fill your peep) when viewed through the peep at full draw...
I personally like the smaller guards...(about 1.75"-2")
but that is just me.
