Default what arrow and vane combo do you shoot

today i was at a local pro shop' and there is a senior guy that works there and when i told him i was thinking of putting 2" blazers on my doz Gold tip 22 pros he said "no way" he is all about the old school 4" and kind of shot me down on my idea. I dont know what the best thing to do is? so if you would i would like to hear what every one is doing on their 3d set-up and please list how long you have been shooting and you average scores. I am not upset i am just looking for some kind of sanity and do not want to go through trial and error i just want to feel confident. i will start, i have 2 seasons in out door 3d last year i shot 300gr victory hv 400 spine with blazers, open class, average 260

I shoot the new blazer X2's on all my target arrows. I did shoot the blazers but now like the smaller X2's instead. I use them on light speeds and x cutters with no problems.

Default Shoot the Blazers

Blazers are about the only vanes used around my pro shop.

I use the 2.0 HP Vanetec vanes on my tournament and hunting arrows.

I have played with a lot of vane combinations. Personally I don't think feathers can be beat, but in vanes Blazers and the QS ST Speed Hunters are both Good choices. I don't think there is any circumstance where I would use a 4" plastic vane anymore

For 3D I'm using Victory VX-22 HVs with helical 3 inch Vanetec Super Spines.

For hunting its Easton Axis 400s with blazers.

I have been running my pro 22's for about one year now with blazer x2's on them and did vary well with them. last year I shot in the IBO worlds and just missed the finals and this year I shot the Badger State games with them and toke home the gold in the open class so in my opinion they are the best thing for my set up. I hope this helps .

I'm shooting Victory VX22HV's with 2" Blazers For indoor and for 3D, having no problems. I switched to Blazers this year from the Duravane low profile 3.5" vanes.
