Choosing Arrow Length?

I am shooting an AlphaMax, have a 29" DL and unsure what length arrow I need. I realize I need to draw it, and then decide where to cut, but need to choose a shaft and I will need to know the aprox length to determine spine.

I am thinking 30" would this be close?

Is to mark the arrow at full draw. I always like my arrow past the berger button just a little. Other wrods close to front of risor. But sometimes if Im needing the sped Ill cut 1/2" in front of rest depending on where it is.

Thanks, I just found an arrow that I measured from the grove in the knock to the end of the insert and its 28"
When I draw this arrow it is about an inch + tip beyond the rest (QAD) but the tip does not stick out beyond the riser.

Would you go an extra inch, putting the end of the field point even with the riser, or leave it at 28"?

I found this image, I am guessing the pivot point is the arrow rest.

I assemble my own arrows. I make mine an inch longer than I need so I can trim and refletch them when I get minor cracks from breaking nocks in tight groups and lucky shots.
