Default Triple X's for Outdoor 3D?

Are any of you using Triple X's for outdoor 3D? If so, how do you like them?

Default Excellant choice

For the many shooters. I just dont have the draw to get the spped with them or they would be my choice.

Levi Morgan and Tim Gillingham shoot them.

I shoot xcutters.

I had to crank my bow up to 64 lbs to get them to 280 fps. I shoot a vantage elite with spirals and am a 31" draw.

they are big heavy arrows especially with the 150 grain points.

Last Year before I set up the Monster 6 in July I was shooting a Mathews Apex 7 at 29 draw 70lbs and Triple Xs with 100 grain tips the bow ran a even 300 fps.

I shot them last year. You really need to get them as heavy as you can. Mine were at 430 grains or so and I didn't feel like that was enough. The definitely catch a little more wind then my x-cutters and I think the extra drifting cost me in Paris, TX last year with the windy conditions.

I've switched back to x-cutters, and after going back I don't know why I switched. I personally think the x-cutter is about the best 3D arrow you can get.

I just switched over to the 30x's for 3d and LOVE them. The only reason I didnt go with the xxx was you cant use screw in tips

If I could get to 280fps+ I would shoot them but they are too heavy for the bows I shoot to get there.
